Our team of dedicated designers have amassed many years of experience across a variety of industry sectors and all take pride in Villain Designs’ reputation for quality design and seamless account management.
Extensive experience in capital markets reporting for some of the world’s leading news agencies, including Australian Associated Press (AAP) and Dow Jones Newswires, gives him particular expertise in corporate communications. A strong understanding of investor and corporate imperatives gives him the skills to provide valuable counsel to a diverse range of clients on matters including media relations, social media, content-based marketing, design and production, investor relations and strategic communications.
Ben commenced his career as a cadet journalist at Quest Community Newspapers in Brisbane in 1997 after completing a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) at the University of Queensland. After two years at Quest he joined Australian Associated Press (AAP) as the Brisbane-based business correspondent where he reported on a range of companies across the mining, finance and retail sectors. During this period he undertook a Master of Business (Corporate Communications) which he graduated from in 2002. In 2000 he was appointed as National Media Correspondent reporting on Australia’s major media companies. Ben joined Crook in 2002 after returning from a working holiday in the United Kingdom where he worked on the equities and commodities desk of Dow Jones Newswires.
He became a full partner and Director of CROOK in 2005 before co-founding RG Communications in April 2014 where he currently manages a team which services an extensive portfolio of large public companies and dynamic SMEs.

Driven to provide quality design & excellent service, Chris has been a qualified Graphic Designer for close to 10 years and spent three years prior to 2011 as a proficient Senior Designer and Art Director.
By thoughtfully employing the fundamental principles of brand strategy and communication design, Chris has delivered successful client outcomes that add simplicity, practicality and tangible value to build and strengthen brands.
Chris commenced his role at Villain Designs as Senior Designer in mid-2011 and within his first three months was appointed Studio Manager having shown the rare ability to marry creative instinct and market awareness with a strong management and business approach.
Demonstrating an unwavering work ethic and an innovative approach to corporate design and branding, Chris set about consolidating the relationship between Villain and its existing client base and expanding the studio’s profile. He also provides design direction for corporate communications within the RGC client base and continues to deliver strategic and relevant outcomes with an acute focus on quality communication design.
Working with a large number of high-net-worth brands within the Energy & Resources, Property, Tourism and Finance industries, his experience, expertise and ability to get the very best out of team members and clients have helped lay the platform for a growing full-service agency.
